Lyndsay & Brett’s Intimate Elopement at The Joey, Palm Beach

I got so excited when I was asked to photograph Lyndsay and Brett’s elopement at the Joey in Palm Beach, as it’s one of my favourite places in the world. Palm beach is absolutely beautiful, especially at sunset along the Pittwater side.

Our photo session together captured everything that makes the Northern Beaches so special: sweeping coastal views, soft sea breezes, and that unmistakable golden light that photographers dream of. As a Northern Beaches wedding photographer, it’s always an honour to witness moments like these, where simplicity meets raw emotion in the most beautiful way.

The Joey Palm Beach offers a truly unique setting for elopements. Perched high above the coastline, it creates an intimate yet expansive atmosphere, where couples can feel both grounded and completely swept away by the view. For Lyndsay and Brett, it was the perfect place to have their elopement; private, meaningful, and incredibly romantic.

As a Sydney wedding photographer, there’s something especially rewarding about capturing elopements like this. Without the structure of a traditional timeline, it didn’t feel rushed. The session was able to flow effortlessly as we explored the beautiful Places Palm Beach has to offer.

We took advantage of the golden afternoon light as it wrapped around the cliffs and shoreline. These are the moments that truly define an elopement, a time were couples can simple be together and enjoy each other.
