Mother’s Day Autumn Beach Sessions at Long Reef
Autumn afternoons at Long Reef brought plenty of sandy toes, big cuddles, playful kids and golden sunset light for these Mother’s Day family sessions.
There’s no need for everyone to sit still and smile when you’re photographing a family at the beach. We wandered through the grasses, played in the sand, explored the shoreline and let the kids be themselves. The result was a collection of relaxed, candid photographs filled with personality and connection.
As a Northern Beaches family photographer, Long Reef is one of my favourite locations for sunset photos. The combination of open sand, coastal grasses and soft evening light gives families plenty of space to move, play and simply enjoy being together.
These Mother’s Day sessions were all about capturing the little things, the way a child reaches for Mum’s hand, sandy hugs, cheeky smiles, running towards the water and those quiet moments in between.
For families looking for a Sydney photographer who captures genuine connection rather than overly posed photographs, an autumn beach session is a wonderful way to document this stage of family life.
